Head Of Housekeeping

A prestigious UHNW British family is seeking an experienced and highly professional Head of Housekeeping to oversee the housekeeping and laundry operation across their private residences.

The successful candidate will lead a team of six housekeepers plus laundry staff, maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation, presentation and service. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and previous experience within a UHNW private household or similarly high-standard environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage a team of six housekeepers and laundry staff
  
• Organise daily rotas, allocate duties and monitor standards
  
• Remain hands-on and ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms, children's areas, guest areas and back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest standards
  
• Plan and coordinate routine cleaning, deep cleaning, guest arrivals, events and family movements
  
• Oversee laundry and specialist garment care, including fine clothing and luxury household linens
  
• Manage wardrobes, seasonal changes, repairs, storage and packing/unpacking
  
• Maintain accurate digital inventories of household supplies, linen, uniforms, equipment and luggage
  
• Monitor stock levels, deliveries, invoices and purchasing
  
• Prepare residences and travel destinations ahead of the family's arrival
  
• Coordinate packing, luggage and travel requirements for the family
  
• Work closely with Estate Management, PA, nannies, drivers, security and other household staff
  
• Train, support and supervise housekeeping staff, addressing performance issues when required
  
• Report maintenance, damage, staffing and operational issues to Estate Management
  
• Maintain accurate rotas, checklists, cleaning schedules and handovers
  
• Uphold strict household standards regarding privacy, security, hygiene and confidentiality
  

LOCATION & TRAVEL

• Based primarily in Dubai
  
• Frequent international travel with the family
  
• Flexibility required for early starts, late finishes, weekends and public holidays when required
  

PACKAGE

• Salary: AED 20,000–25,000 per month

Terms & Conditions

• Work Schedule: 5 days per week

• Overtime: Paid after 10 hours in accordance with UAE labour law

• Accommodation: Not provided

• Vehicle: Not provided

• This is a local UAE hire. Candidates must already be based in Dubai as the family does not relocate candidates internationally.

Trial Period

• A paid trial period of one week with the family will be required to ensure suitability for both parties. The trial may be extended if necessary.

• The trial may take place in the UAE or abroad. If conducted abroad, travel, accommodation, and a USD 50 daily meal allowance will be covered.

Requirements

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Head of Housekeeping or Deputy Head of Housekeeping
  
• Previous UHNW private household, royal household, luxury yacht or five-star hotel experience
  
• Strong experience managing a housekeeping team of a similar size
  
• Excellent knowledge of luxury housekeeping, fine fabrics, specialist surfaces and garment care
  
• Experience overseeing laundry operations and wardrobes
  
• Previous experience supporting international travel and/or multiple residences
  
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
  
• Confident using Excel, Google Sheets or household management systems
  
• Excellent spoken and written English
  
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
  
• Strong, checkable professional references
  
• Driving licence advantageous
