Health and Safety Officer - Own Visa Dubai / Ajman

Overview

Note: This is a 3-month contract role, renewable based on performance and business needs.

Location is Flexible Dubai and Ajman (office location can be discussed).

Note: The requirement is 3 months renewable and not a permanent long-term contract.

Responsibilities

• Implement, and maintain health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify hazards and suggest corrective actions.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver safety training and orientation for new employees.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, analyzing root causes and suggesting preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management.
• Stay updated on regulations and industry trends, suggesting improvements to enhance safety culture.
• Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on safe work practices.
• Ensure compliance and promote best practices.
• Participate in incident response activities and emergency drills, offering guidance during emergencies.
• Supporting with other Compliance focused documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer, in service sector Experience with ISO and other audits.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• HSE is epxected to be NEBOSH Certificate holder
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for training and influencing employees.
• Detail-oriented with a knack for maintaining accurate records.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or in a team
