Head of Dealing (FX, Commodities, CFDs)

Our client is a global FX brokerage that is looking to expand their team in Dubai.

They are seeking a meticulous and experienced Head of Dealing with a strong background in the FX, CFDs, and/or commodities brokerage industry. In this role, you will work closely with executive leadership, risk management, compliance, finance, technology, and operations teams to spearhead the firm's dealing operations, trade execution, liquidity management, and market risk exposure. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience managing dealing desks within an online brokerage environment + deep expertise in trade execution, liquidity provider management, hedging strategies, and client order flow.

Strong professional working fluency in English is REQUIRED.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the dealing desk to ensure efficient trade execution, risk management, and operational excellence.
• Supervise the execution of client trades and monitor trading activity to ensure fair, accurate, and timely order execution.
• Manage A-Book, B-Book, and hybrid execution models while optimizing profitability and maintaining appropriate market risk exposure.
• Develop and implement hedging strategies to effectively manage market exposure and minimize trading risk.
• Build and maintain relationships with liquidity providers (LPs), prime brokers, bridge providers, and execution venues to ensure competitive pricing, execution quality, and trading liquidity.
• Continuously monitor net open positions, market exposure, spread management, client flow, and execution performance in real time, taking appropriate action during periods of market volatility.
• Monitor and analyze client trading behavior, including high-frequency trading (HFT), latency arbitrage, toxic flow, scalping strategies, and other trading activities that may impact the firm's risk profile.
• Optimize pricing, spreads, markups, execution rules, and symbol configurations to support commercial objectives while maintaining competitive market conditions.
• Collaborate with the Head of Risk to manage exposure limits, hedging activities, margin utilization, and overall brokerage risk.
• Oversee the configuration and ongoing management of trading platforms including trading groups, leverage settings, trading permissions, symbol specifications, and execution parameters.
• Develop and maintain dealing policies, standard operating procedures, escalation protocols, and business continuity plans.
• Produce daily dealing reports, exposure reports, profitability analysis, execution quality reports, and trading performance metrics for senior management.
• Investigate trade disputes, execution issues, platform anomalies, and significant market events while ensuring timely resolution.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the dealing team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on operational excellence, risk awareness, and client service.
• Stay informed of market developments, macroeconomic events, regulatory changes, and emerging trading technologies that may impact brokerage operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 10+ years of progressive experience within the FX, CFDs, commodities, and/or online brokerage industry - with 5 of those years leading dealing, trading operations, or brokerage execution teams.
• Proven experience overseeing A-Book, B-Book, and hybrid execution models within an online brokerage environment.
• Strong understanding of trade execution, market making, hedging strategies, liquidity management, and brokerage profitability.
• Extensive experience working with liquidity providers, prime brokers, bridge providers, and liquidity aggregation technologies.
• Hands-on experience with MT4, MT5, cTrader, or similar institutional trading platforms, including Manager and Administrator functions.
• Experience with bridge technologies such as OneZero, PrimeXM, Centroid, or similar liquidity management solutions is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of market risk, trading operations, margin management, leverage controls, swap calculations, rollover processes, and client exposure management.
• Experience monitoring and managing execution quality, slippage, spreads, fill ratios, and order routing performance.
• Strong understanding of client trading behavior, including toxic flow analysis, latency arbitrage, copy trading, high-frequency trading (HFT), and risk mitigation strategies.
• Experience working within regulated financial services environments and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to FX and CFD brokerages.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, real-time trading environment where rapid decision-making is critical.
• Strong professional working fluency in English is REQUIRED.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred.
