Logistic Coordinator

Job Overview - Role Title: Logistics Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- Shipment Scheduling & Tracking: Coordinate transportation schedules with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouses; monitor shipments in transit to ensure on-time delivery.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, verify, and maintain essential shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, invoices, and manifests in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Carrier & Vendor Management: Communicate regularly with transport providers, resolve shipping delays or disputes, and help evaluate carrier performance and pricing.
- Inventory & Order Support: Collaborate with the warehouse and procurement teams to align inbound receipts and outbound dispatches with current inventory levels and customer demand.
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Quickly address and resolve logistics exceptions, such as damaged goods, customs holds, route disruptions, or missing shipments.
- Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate digital logs of shipments, freight costs, and delivery performance metrics (KPIs) within the company's ERP or logistics software.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience (typically 2–4 years) working as a Logistics Coordinator, Freight Forwarder, or in a related supply chain/administrative role.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and MS Office (especially Excel for tracking and data analysis).
- Familiarity with import/export regulations and customs procedures (if applicable).
- Core Competencies:
- Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities for dealing with carriers and vendors.
- Keen attention to detail and high accuracy in documentation.
