Mark Williams is partnering with a leading investment company in Abu Dhabi to appoint an experienced and commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO).


Our client is a highly respected and well-established investment group with a strong presence across the Middle East. As the business continues to expand its portfolio and investment activities, they are seeking a hands-on CFO who can provide strategic financial leadership, strengthen governance, and support long-term value creation.


The Opportunity
Reporting directly to senior leadership, the CFO will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the group and its investments, ensuring robust financial management, operational excellence, and effective stakeholder engagement.


Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the finance function across the group's operating companies and investment portfolio.
• Develop, maintain, and oversee sophisticated financial models, forecasting processes, and cash flow projections.
• Drive financial strategy, capital allocation, and liquidity management to support business growth and investment objectives.
• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure strong financial governance, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
• Manage external audits and maintain relationships with auditors, advisors, banks, and other key stakeholders.
• Prepare and present high-quality financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to shareholders, family members, and senior stakeholders.
• Support investment activities through financial due diligence, valuation analysis, transaction structuring, and post-investment monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive operational efficiencies across the finance function.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.






Candidate Profile


The successful candidate will be a strategic yet hands-on finance leader with a proven track record within investment, family office, private equity, or diversified holding company environments.


Requirements
• Proven experience in a CFO or senior finance leadership role within an investment company, family office, private equity firm, or similar organisation.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, analysis, reporting, governance, and cash flow management.
• Experience overseeing complex group structures and account consolidations.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and improve financial processes, controls, and operational frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior executives, shareholders, and external advisors.
• Commercially astute, analytical, and capable of supporting strategic business decisions.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
