ServiceNow SPM Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Business Analyst to lead requirement gathering, client engagement, and functional delivery across end-to-end SPM implementations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across the full SPM suite and can confidently run client-facing workshops, deliver product demos, translate business needs into functional specifications, and ensure delivered configurations meet the agreed requirements.

Key Responsibilities;Lead the requirement-gathering sessions with business stakeholders across Demand, Project, Resource, and Financial Management processes.Facilitate client workshops to map current-state processes, define future-state solutions, and align stakeholders on scope and priorities.Prepare and deliver compelling product demonstrations of ServiceNow SPM capabilities tailored to client use cases and personas.Analyse, and document business and functional requirements, translating them into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.Own the functional design across SPM modules including Demand Management (idea-to-demand lifecycle, assessment/scoring, prioritization), Project & Portfolio Management (project lifecycle, planning, milestones, status reporting, RAG logic), Resource Management (resource planning, allocation, capacity vs. demand), and Financial Management (cost plans, budgets, actuals, forecasting, chargeback/showback).Configure and validate SPM data models, lifecycle stages, financial calculations, and reporting/dashboards in line with business requirements.Define acceptance criteria and support functional validation of configured solutions to confirm they meet documented requirements before handover.Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparing test scenarios, guiding business users, and tracking resolution of findings.Serve as the functional bridge between business stakeholders and technical/development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.Produce clear documentation including requirement traceability, process flows, configuration workbooks, and end-user guidance.Provide functional expertise and best-practice guidance, promoting an out-of-the-box-first approach where appropriate.

Requirements

Required Skills & ExperienceProven hands-on experience delivering end-to-end ServiceNow SPM implementations across Demand, Project, Resource, and Financial Management.Strong understanding of SPM data models, lifecycle configuration, assessment/scoring, cost planning, and RAG threshold logic.Demonstrated ability to run client-facing workshops, demos, and requirement-gathering sessions independently.Excellent requirement analysis and documentation skills, with the ability to translate business needs into structured functional specifications and acceptance criteria.Experience supporting UAT and validating delivered functionality against agreed requirements.Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.Preferred QualificationsServiceNow SPM / ITBM certification or micro-certifications.ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).Experience in a consulting or implementation-partner environment.Understanding of adjacent modules (ITSM, CMDB) and how they integrate with SPM.
