Healthcare Data Scientist

Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of predictive, statistical, and machine learning models
- Analyze pharmacy and medical claims data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
- Assist with AI roadmap initiatives
- Prepare, clean, transform, and validate healthcare data sets
- Develop clean, reusable, and testable analytical code
- Collaborate with clinicians, analysts, and product teams to deliver actionable insights
- Document analytical methods, assumptions, and model logic
- Communicate findings through written summaries, presentations, and dashboards
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or healthcare informatics
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
- Experience working with healthcare data, pharmacy/PBM data, or medical claims
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulationProficiency with Python or R for statistical modeling and machine learning
- Foundational understanding of statistics, predictive modeling, and supervised/unsupervised learning
- Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability for up to 10% travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to healthcare cost, utilization, or drug management analytics
- Experience with time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, or natural language processing
- Familiarity with data privacy, data governance, and HIPAA considerations
- Experience supporting dashboards and reporting automation
