Senior Marketing Copywriter

In 2017, our founders started Sarwa due to a lack of financial services offered to most of the world, and out of a need to help empower people in the region to invest in their financial future. Sarwa is poised to continue growing into the go-to platform for people to grow their wealth.

We do this through expert, affordable and easy investing. We're a small team working on the region's first and fastest growing investment and personal finance platform, making investing easy, low-cost and transparent, with a human touch woven into every step of the process.

We are a remote-first team. Where you choose to work is up to you — we have an office in Abu Dhabi that you can utilize as often or little as you'd like.

We’re looking for a Marketing Copywriter who is a storyteller. Someone who not only translates financial jargon into accessible information, but also who thinks about the ways brands tell a story through their marketing channels.

You’ll work across newsletters, CRM, social, blog, campaigns, and product launches, owning the copy from idea to execution. You’ll also help decide what we should be saying, how we should be saying it, and setting up processes for understanding whether it worked or not.

This is a collaborative role. You’ll work closely with Creative Marketing, Growth Marketing, Product, Advisory, and CX, and you’ll be expected to bring ideas to the table, give thoughtful feedback, and be comfortable having your own work challenged.

The ideal candidate has excellent English writing skills, is curious about money and markets, understands how people consume content across different platforms, and is proactive and self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute content across Sarwa’s newsletter, CRM, social, blog, and other marketing channels.

• Turn complex financial topics, market news, research, and product updates into simple, accessible, and engaging content.

• Own copy for product launches and campaigns across channels, from concept through execution and follow-up.

• Develop lifecycle content across onboarding, activation, education, re-engagement, and win-back, adapting messaging for different audiences.

• Help with the development social content across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and Reddit, including ideas, hooks, scripts, captions, carousels, and on-screen copy.

• Improve existing content using performance data, search intent, audience behaviour, and emerging ways people discover information through AI.

• Experiment, learn from performance, and apply those insights to future content.

• Contribute to a strong writing culture by sharing ideas, giving thoughtful feedback, and helping others improve their work.

• Use AI thoughtfully for brainstorming, research, and early drafts , but rely on your own writing skills for the final work. You should be able to recognise generic or AI-generated writing and know when it needs to be edited or rewritten.
  

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a Copywriter, Content Writer, Content Marketing Manager, or similar role.

• A strong body of published work. Newsletters, articles, scripts, social content, essays, or other examples of your writing are all welcome.

• Experience writing across multiple formats and channels.

• A strong curiosity to understand what makes content work on different platforms and why.

• Comfortable looking at performance data, forming a hypothesis, testing it, and changing your approach based on what you learn.

• Strong editorial judgment. You know when something needs more explanation, when it needs less, and when an idea simply isn't worth pursuing.

• Comfortable working in a regulated industry and communicating financial topics accurately without over-claiming or turning content into investment advice.

• Self-directed and organised, with the ability to manage your own pipeline and priorities.

• Comfortable working collaboratively with other writers.

Considered a plus

• Experience in fintech, investing, financial services, or another regulated industry.

• Experience with Reddit, Discord, Substack, or other community-driven platforms.

• Experience with SEO and GEO, or with optimising content for search and AI discovery.
