Corporate Counsel

Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and supplier agreements including hardware supply and software licensing
- Design and maintain compliance programs for data privacy, safety, and regulatory obligations
- Provide legal counsel to engineering, operations, business development, and marketing teams
- Advise on regulatory matters related to autonomous vehicle testing and deployment
- Manage outside counsel and coordinate with external advisors on litigation and IP
- Monitor evolving laws affecting autonomous vehicles and transportation
- Develop training programs on legal compliance and risk management
- Assist with corporate transactions and board-related activities
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- 5–8 years of legal experience (law firm and in-house)
- Experience negotiating complex commercial and supplier agreements
- Experience managing compliance programs or internal controls
- Expertise in regulatory affairs, safety/product liability, data privacy, or employment law
- Strong business judgment and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in autonomous vehicle, automotive, or robotics sectors
- Familiarity with NHTSA regulations and FMVSS standards
- Experience with data privacy in connected vehicles (geolocation, telematics)
- Background in government affairs or public policy
- Experience supporting high-growth companies (Series C/D+)
- CIPP/US or CIPP/E certification
