Cyber Security Analyst

Responsibilities
- Conduct best practice reviews and develop effective action plans
- Advise on vendor selection and oversight
- Create and implement policies, procedures, and control measures
- Implement and assist with day-to-day operations of securing information systems
- Install and configure security software like firewalls and encryption programs
- Monitor network traffic and analyze authentication logs to investigate anomalies
- Lead vulnerability management programs and conduct annual cybersecurity assessments
- Test and analyze business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Execute incident response programs to identify and prevent breaches
- Review, investigate, and respond to real-time security alerts
- Generate security and compliance reports for stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst specifically at a hedge fund or family office
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, GNFA, or GREM
- Experience with vendors like Splunk Cloud, Rapid7 Nexpose, Sophos, Varonis, or ForeScout
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft enterprise platforms (Azure, Active Directory, SQL, Office365)
- In-depth knowledge of security event management and network security monitoring
- Experience implementing security frameworks like NIST, Cobit, or ISO
- Strong writing and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
