HSE Inspector (Construction Field)

A HSE Inspector (Health, Safety, and Environment Inspector) – Construction Field is responsible for monitoring daily site activities, identifying hazards, and ensuring workers follow safety rules, procedures, and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections at construction sites.
• Identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and potential hazards.
• Ensure workers follow HSE policies, site safety rules, and approved procedures.
• Check proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as helmets, safety shoes, gloves, and harnesses.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions for workers.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as work at height, lifting operations, excavation, scaffolding, and hot work.
• Report safety violations and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist HSE Engineers in preparing safety reports and documentation.
• Maintain records of inspections, observations, and corrective actions.
• Support accident and incident investigations.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained on site.
• Monitor emergency equipment, fire extinguishers, and first-aid facilities.
• Coordinate with supervisors and site teams to improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Typically 2–5 years of experience as an HSE Inspector in construction projects.
• UAE/GCC construction experience is often preferred.
• Safety certifications such as IOSH , OSHA , NEBOSH , or equivalent are advantageous.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations.

• Good communication skills with workers and supervisors.
• Strong observation and problem-solving abilities.
