Construction Manager

A Construction Manager oversees the execution of construction work on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site construction activities from project start to completion.
- Supervise engineers, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and labor teams.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, clients, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and resolve site issues promptly.
- Plan manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Monitor quality of work and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Control project costs and minimize delays.
- Conduct site meetings and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Typically 10–15 years of construction experience, with several years in a managerial role.
- Experience managing residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with local building codes and construction regulations (UAE/GCC experience is often preferred).
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is an advantage.
