Position Overview

Based at BanoPuratos UAE, we are currently seeking a:

Senior R&D Specialist

( United Arab Emirates )

Reporting to the R&D Manager, the Senior R&D Specialist is responsible for leading the development and improvement of products based on customer requirements, market trends, and business needs. The role supports product innovation, ensures successful implementation into production, provides technical expertise across departments, and maintains compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the development and improvement of new and existing products.

• Manage product trials and production implementation.
• Prepare product formulations, technical specifications, and Technical Data Sheets (TDS).
• Provide technical support and product training to customers and internal teams.
• Ensure product labeling and documentation comply with regulatory requirements.
• Support and mentor junior R&D team members.

• Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.

• Manage customer technical inquiries and complaints.
• Support audits and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor supplier quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in food technology, Food Science, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in Research & Development within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of product development, food safety, quality systems, and food regulations.
• Experience in product trials, product commercialization, and technical documentation.
• Strong technical knowledge of food products and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Team player with leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
