Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and MEP projects with a proven track record in estimating and bidding for this role you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for potential projects ensuring that all costs are accounted for and that our bids are in line with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required
• - Conduct site visits and gather information to accurately estimate project costs
• - Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor materials and equipment
• - Identify potential risks and opportunities in the project and factor them into the estimate
• - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost-saving strategies and value engineering options
• - Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
• - Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients including detailed breakdown of costs and schedules
• - Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits with clients to clarify project requirements and address any concerns
• - Maintain a database of costs and pricing for materials equipment and labor to ensure accurate and up-to-date estimates
• - Monitor market trends and industry developments to stay informed of changes in pricing and availability of materials and labor
• - Provide support to project teams during the construction phase including change order pricing and cost tracking
• - Mentor and train junior estimators and provide guidance and support as needed

Qualifications:

• - Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• - Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and MEP estimating preferably in the UAE market
• - Strong knowledge of construction materials methods and processes
• - Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• - Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office
• - Strong communication and negotiation skills
• - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• - Attention to detail and accuracy
• - Leadership and team management skills
