Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Draftsman with extensive UAE construction experience to prepare accurate shop drawings, coordination drawings, structural steel drawings, reinforcement detailing, and as-built documentation. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers, consultants, architects, and site teams to ensure all drawings meet project specifications, consultant requirements, and UAE authority standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, and coordination drawings.
- Develop structural steel fabrication and erection drawings.
- Prepare reinforcement detailing (rebar drawings) as per approved structural designs.
- Produce MEP coordination drawings to support multidisciplinary project execution.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Design Consultants, Architects, and Site Engineers to resolve drawing discrepancies.
- Revise drawings based on consultant comments, design changes, RFIs, and site requirements.
- Prepare accurate as-built drawings for project handover.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, document control, and drawing archives.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, consultant requirements, UAE authority regulations, and company drafting standards.
- Support project teams throughout construction until final handover.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE construction experience in drafting.
- Proven experience preparing shop drawings for large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural, architectural, and MEP coordination drawings.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD .
- Working knowledge of Revit is preferred.
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards and consultant approval processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
