About the Role

We’re looking for a knowledgeable, culturally aware, and passionate Emirati Heritage Consultant to support our team in developing projects and initiatives that reflect the rich cultural heritage, traditions, history, and identity of the United Arab Emirates. In this role, you’ll provide cultural and heritage expertise, conduct research, support heritage-related projects, and work with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure projects are culturally accurate, respectful, and aligned with UAE heritage values.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on Emirati history, culture, traditions, customs, and heritage
• Conduct research into UAE cultural heritage, historical sites, traditional practices, and local communities
• Support the development of cultural programmes, exhibitions, events, educational materials, and heritage initiatives
• Review project content to ensure cultural accuracy and authenticity
• Advise teams and stakeholders on appropriate representation of Emirati culture and traditions
• Assist with documenting oral histories, traditional practices, stories, crafts, and cultural knowledge
• Collaborate with museums, cultural organisations, government entities, researchers, and community stakeholders
• Support cultural heritage preservation and awareness initiatives
• Prepare research reports, presentations, cultural briefs, and project documentation
• Assist with interviews, workshops, field research, and community engagement activities
• Identify opportunities to promote UAE heritage through modern educational and digital platforms
• Ensure cultural projects are respectful, authentic, and aligned with relevant UAE guidelines and objectives

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Heritage Studies, History, Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Archaeology, Museum Studies, Tourism, Arts, or a related field (preferred)
• Previous experience in cultural heritage, museums, tourism, education, research, events, or cultural programmes is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Emirati heritage and UAE cultural practices is highly desirable
• Experience working with cultural institutions, heritage sites, community organisations, or government-related projects is advantageous
• Arabic language skills, particularly familiarity with local terminology and cultural expressions, are an advantage
