About the Role
Al Asayel Health & Safety FZE is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our finance team. You will handle day-to-day accounting, VAT and regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. The role offers professional growth within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including VAT filings and JAFZA submissions.
- Handle invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and data entry.
- Reconcile bank, customer and vendor accounts regularly, and verify transaction accuracy.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for management.
- Coordinate with external auditors and help prepare for audits.
- Follow up with banks on existing and new financial matters.
- Maintain organized financial records and provide reporting support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- CPA, ACCA or CA certification.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT law, financial reporting and compliance.
- Proficiency in SAP Business One or similar accounting software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
- Good written and spoken English, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience with JAFZA submissions.
- Experience in a similar trading or distribution company.
