Ready for a change? We’re looking for TWO RVNs to join us in Dubai ☀️

Are you an RVN who’s ready for something new? More sunshine, a great work-life balance, a tax-free salary and the opportunity to work in a team where your nursing skills are genuinely valued?

Welcome to Dr Well Veterinary Clinic , an independent small animal and exotics practice in Dubai — and potentially your new home.

We’re currently looking for two experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses to join our growing team. Whether you’re looking for a new professional challenge, an overseas adventure, or a different lifestyle for you and your family, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

So, who are we?

Dr Well Veterinary Clinic is a busy, independent veterinary practice in the heart of Dubai, just a short distance from the beach. Founded by Dr David Feldmar and Dr Sarah Ramsey, the clinic has grown significantly over the past few years while remaining proudly independent, clinically driven and genuinely team-focused.

Sarah is an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine , with particular interests in feline medicine, oncology, pain management, acupuncture and end-of-life care. Before moving to Dubai, she worked as Head of Medicine in a London small animal hospital and as Clinical Director of a busy UK practice.

David has more than 30 years of veterinary experience and a strong surgical background, performing advanced soft-tissue and orthopaedic procedures including fracture repairs, cruciate surgery and BOAS procedures.

And we’ve grown!

We have recently welcomed five new vets to our team , giving us a fantastic breadth of experience across medicine, emergency and critical care, surgery, dermatology, exotics and general practice.

Our veterinary team now includes three RCVS Advanced Practitioners and two veterinary certificate holders , creating an exciting clinical environment for nurses who want to learn, develop and genuinely use their skills.

We have a varied and interesting caseload encompassing everything from routine preventative healthcare to complex medical cases, emergency patients, advanced soft-tissue and orthopaedic surgery, dentistry, rehabilitation, exotics and rescue medicine.

Our nursing team

We already have a brilliant nursing and support team, including experienced Senior RVNs, RVNs, veterinary care assistants and support staff — and now we’re looking for two more RVNs to join them.

Our nurses aren’t simply there to “help the vet”. We want our nursing team to nurse. That means anaesthesia, inpatient care, pain management, laboratory work, dentistry, imaging, theatre, nurse consultations, rehabilitation, emergency care, nutrition, client education and having a genuine voice in how we improve patient care.

We want nurses who are confident sharing their knowledge and who enjoy supporting and developing the people around them.

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you’ll be an RVN with a couple of years of post-qualification experience and registered with the RCVS or an equivalent professional body.

More importantly, we’re looking for people who are enthusiastic, kind, proactive and genuinely enjoy nursing.

We’d particularly love nurses who want to help us continue developing our clinical standards and nursing services. That might mean helping update SOPs, developing additional nurse clinics, mentoring other members of the nursing team or working towards practice-wide goals such as Gold Cat Friendly, Fear Free and Zero Pain certification .

If you have a particular interest, we want to hear about it.

The role? It’s what you make it.

Perhaps you love anaesthesia and theatre. Maybe you’re feline-obsessed, passionate about ECC, dentistry or inpatient nursing. Perhaps you want to become a clinical coach or finally start that certificate you’ve been considering.

We actively encourage our nurses to develop their own areas of interest and will support further qualifications and certificates.

You’ll have access to an interesting and sometimes challenging caseload, including diseases you may see much less frequently in UK practice. Alongside routine cases, we see complex medicine, FIP, infectious and vector-borne diseases, rescue cases and critically ill patients. We also have a growing surgical caseload, including orthopaedic surgery and advanced soft-tissue procedures.

This definitely isn’t a sleepy clinic — you won’t be bored!

What’s the rota like?

These are full-time positions working a five-day week , with shifts spread across the clinic rota.

We are not a 24-hour hospital, so there are no routine overnight shifts .

Our current opening hours are:

Monday–Saturday: 8am–7pm
Sunday: 8am–5pm

Shifts include a mix of early, mid and late starts, and we work hard to keep things flexible to support real life — whether you need to do the school run, get to an appointment or fancy a long weekend in the mountains.

Lunch breaks are protected, overtime is paid, and we believe strongly in treating everyone with the respect they deserve — not just on paper, but day to day.

And when your shift finishes, you’re in Dubai — whether that means heading to the beach, the gym, dinner with friends or escaping to the mountains for the weekend.

What do we offer?

Tax-free salary equivalent to approximately £36,000–£45,000 per year, dependent on experience , including housing allowance.

We also offer:

30 days’ annual leave, inclusive of UAE public holidays
Health insurance
Visa sponsorship and work permits
Relocation support, including help with the paperwork and settling into Dubai
Help finding suitable short-term accommodation while you get established and await your Emirates ID
Generous CPD support
Certificates and further qualifications actively encouraged and supported
Access to a wide range of local and international CPD
Paid overtime Protected lunch breaks
The opportunity to develop your own clinical interests
A genuinely supportive, friendly and collaborative team
And rather more sunshine than you’re probably used to ☀️

What is life in Dubai actually like?

You’ve probably heard the stereotypes. Blingy, flashy and over-the-top. And yes, if that’s your thing, you’ll definitely find it here.

But that’s not what everyday life has to look like.

For many of us, life here means sunrise runs, paddleboarding before breakfast, walking the dog on the beach, cycling in the desert, gym classes after work, hiking in the mountains or sitting outside with friends on a January evening wondering why we didn’t move sooner.

Dubai is hugely multicultural, exceptionally well connected and offers an enormous range of things to do outside work.

For active people, it’s particularly difficult to beat. Running, cycling, CrossFit, Hyrox, yoga, Pilates, martial arts, watersports and hiking are all hugely popular. There’s also the annual Dubai Fitness Challenge, when the whole city is encouraged to get moving.

Yes, summer is hot. Very hot. We’re not going to pretend otherwise!

But everywhere is air-conditioned and life adapts around it. Outdoor activities shift to early mornings and evenings and, from October through to April, the weather is glorious — warm days, blue skies and seemingly endless sunshine.

Dubai is also a fantastic option for families, with a huge choice of international schools and almost every sport, club and activity imaginable for children.

Whether you’re moving solo, with a partner or bringing the whole family, Dubai offers the opportunity to work hard, live well and experience something completely different.

And one of the biggest surprises for many people who move here is just how quickly Dubai starts to feel like home.

Interested? Let’s chat.

You don’t need to have decided you’re definitely moving halfway around the world.

If you’re curious, come and have an informal chat with us .

We’re happy to talk honestly about the role, the clinic, salaries, relocation, accommodation, what veterinary nursing in Dubai is actually like and all the practical questions that inevitably come with considering an international move.

If you’re an RVN looking for a new challenge and like the idea of joining an independent practice where nurses are encouraged to develop, contribute and genuinely make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Two RVN positions available.

Come and see what your veterinary nursing career could look like in the sunshine. ☀️
