Our company is looking for a Revenue Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work in liaison with hotel sales and reservations departments as a team;
- Oversee and audit the standards and operations of the reservations department;
- Create and develop pricing strategies;
- Create and maintain a 12-month rolling demand calendar;
- Inspire hotel HOD’s to further embed a revenue management culture;
- Oversee revenue management and distribution of strategy of the hotel;
- Responsible for assessing and pricing group;
- Manage day to day yield of rates;
- Manage and oversee strategy for all 3 rd party distribution;
- Turn away report;
- Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, Tour Operator, Events, Consortia, Weddings);
- Analyse overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve long term strategies;
- Prepare outline and support the annual revenue budget process;
- Conduct quarterly property performance reviews and develop strategic and tactical action;
- Ensure webs site booking process is up to date and functional.
Requirements:
- Bilingual (English and Afrikaans). Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Familiar with the hotel operations, available technology (PMS & RMS) and all distribution channels;
- Understand the dynamics of regional and local markets, as well as an understanding of competitors;
- Relevant qualifications in Hotel Management, Tourism, or Economic Studies (Beneficial not compulsory);
- Computer literate and experience with excel;
- Knowledge of hotel technology: PMS, Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Extranets;
- Hotel Revenue Management Experience.
