Our company is looking for a Head of Finance to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Income tax and VAT compliance and submissions, month end reviews and variance reports;
  • Preparation of key business drivers for group management reporting;
  • Assets, Procurement, Commercial contracts and Insurance management;
  • Preparation and review of consolidated monthly reports and commentary for financial results;
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts and co-ordinate annual audits;
  • Oversee debtors, creditors and cashbook management;
  • Analyse and report on balance sheet recons and costs;
  • People management;
  • Dealing with Stakeholders;
  • IFRS implementation;
  • Improvement and implementation of controls and processes across the business to improve operational and financial efficiency;
  • Prepare annual company budgets, monthly management account packs and year end accounts;
  • Manage relationship with third party advisors including bookkeepers, auditors and tax advisors;
  • Manage cash flow and banking including overseeing all payments and international transfers (eg SARB approvals);
  • Overall responsibility for Founders Factory Africa finances and reporting.

Requirements:

  • SAM;
  • Embedded Value Reporting;
  • 5 Years post article experience (Commercial Expperience);
  • Experience of financial control, forecasting and accounting ideally under both South African and UK standards;
  • Willing and able to be hands-on, with a focus on doing the work rather than overseeing it;
  • Amenable to an early morning schedule (5am or 6am);
  • Experience managing the financial department of a company with 1000 employees is an advantage;
  • Must be amenable to work Mondays to Fridays in Pasig City;
  • Ability and confidence to present complex information in a clear and concise way to our board directors and corporate investors;
  • Significant experience of leading a Finance function;
  • Experience of corporate tax regimes (specifically corporation tax, VAT and transfer pricing) in South Africa and UK;
  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial, pragmatic, commercial, highly analytical, clear communicator, comfortable with ambiguity;
  • Financial Analysis;
  • Able to understand and utilize financial reports and legal documents to conduct business;
  • CPA or a Master’s Degree in Financial Management an advantage.
