Our company is looking for a ocean – assistant chief housekeeper to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for USPH inspection and participate during regular ship inspection;
  • Operate in line with all USPH, Environmental, Safety and Security Policy;
  • Participate in inventory;
  • Inform Executive Housekeeper of any guest related issues to be followed up by Management;
  • Complete the weekly general supply requisition and submit to the Executive Housekeeper for approval;
  • Ensure all housekeeping areas meet VOC standards;
  • Follow up and keep track of all special cleaning matrix such as: cleaning of curtains, carpet shampoo, furniture, shower head sanitation etc;
  • Ensuring MLC compliance;
  • Interact with guest and employee in a professional and positive manner;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Housekeeper;
  • Carry out daily pre-shift briefing and ensure Team are in their assign section and start service in due time;
  • Demonstrate professionalism and be a good role model for subordinates;
  • Inspect Public areas back and front of house;
  • Training;
  • Able to work day or night shift as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Able to work under pressure;
  • Experience in Human Resources procedures;
  • Strong knowledge of sanitary procedures;
  • Hospitality or Business Management Degree or industry related experience;
  • Able to walk and stand during long hours and work night shift;
  • Experience in managing Public areas and Deck;
  • Minimum two years Housekeeping management experience on ships or hotels of 400+ room;
  • Keen eye for cleanliness and attention to details;
  • Excellent English oral and written, additional European language recommended;
  • Computer skills necessary (Word, Excel, Fidelio, Espresso);
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment and maintenance;
  • Able to explain various housekeeping chemicals, equipment and their usage;
  • Management experience working with a multinational Staff/Crew;
  • Excellent Guest interaction skills.
