Our company is looking for a Senior System Administrator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all systems are documented according to best standards;
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations;
  • Develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse;
  • Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained;
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy;
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures;
  • Establishes, maintains and manages users Unix accounts;
  • SQL/MYSQL wizard, able to write and debug sophisticated SQL queries;
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time;
  • Applies revisions to host system firmware and software;
  • Contributes to and reviews deployment plans and schedules the installation of new modules, upgrades and fixes to the production or test environment;
  • Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems;
  • Audit systems and assess their outcomes;
  • Works with any vendors to assist support activities;
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to quickly gain new skills and knowledge when faced with new challenges;
  • Carry strong creative, conceptual and problem-solving skills;
  • Possess a transport and willing to travel, we have offices in various locations that may need your visit from time to time;
  • Proven 3 years working experience in IT field or relevant experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems;
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation;
  • Minimum 8 years of direct hands-on experience. Preferred 10 or more;
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with little or no supervision;
  • Must have secondary demonstrated skills in cybersecurity;
  • Must have computer science or relevant course and education;
  • Knowledge and experience in operating under ISO 27001, PCI or other certified environments is a must;
  • + 3 years relevant working experience ;
  • Masters degrees will be given consideration;
  • Ongoing professional certifications other than Microsoft are welcome and will be given consideration;
  • Must be expert in Microsoft domain administration and management. Knowledge in Linux is preferred.
