ETL Developer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a ETL Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate existing subject areas stored in the data warehouse and determines where data should be stored;
- Develop ETL packages that will read data from different sources which will then be processed;
- Analyze data and processes to create automated solution using ETL;
- Perform quality assurance testing of data integration and report development and monitor data load operations to ensure accuracy;
- Establish and enforce data warehousing standards to meet requirements and business needs.
Requirements:
- Development experience in BI;
- SQL Oracle development experience;
- Experience with multi-application data migration design;
- Knowledgeable in Open Source ETL Tool (i.e. Pentaho, Talend, etc);
- Maintained awareness of new developments in data management and BI;
- Data analysis, visualization and reporting;
- Experience interfacing with business users and understanding their requirements;
- Bachelor of Science (Computer science) or relevant 3-year Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or related discipline;
- Dimensional modeling experience;
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases;
- With experience SQL writing and query tuning/optimisation;
- Hands-on experience in XML, JSON and compatible tools that deal with files in those formats;
- Must possess three (3) years of relevant hands-on experience as a data migration expert for systems of similar size and scope;
- Experience pulling data from a variety of data source types;
- Knowledgeable Data Modelling and Data Mapping.
