Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Being a Senior Accountant analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. In addition, Senior Accountant may supervise and guide lower-level accountants. Requires a bachelor’s degree. May require CPA certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Senior Accountant contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Working as a Senior Accountant typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provisional tax calculations;
  • Liaising with external auditors;
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts;
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality;
  • Cashflow – Capex: Provide a clear monthly forecast of capex items to be paid in the next 4 months for all entities;
  • Generate invoices as and when required;
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information;
  • Ensure monthly financial review and reporting within dateline;
  • Daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations (Bank, Credit card, Inter-company loan accounts & Balance sheet);

Requirements:

  • Tax and VAT;
  • Proficient in presenting reports and financial information to others;
  • 1+ years Xero experience;
  • CPA and/or equivalent;
  • Strong attention to detail, for reconciliations and month end;
  • Positive and confident Attitude;
  • Assist with the management of junior staff and team;
  • Interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, yet comfortable working with manual accounting system;
  • 5 years accounting experience;
  • Financial Statement Analysis;
  • Relates well with different kinds of people, and take on work with high integrity and a positive outlook;
  • Accounts reconciliation and preparation;
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
