Reports Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Reports Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update as necessary the calculation logic and performance metrics for our external clients;
- Act as point-of-contact for the Business Intelligence team for requests for reports and presentations;
- Develop regular and ad-hoc reports, as well as actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders;
- Provide analytical support and analyze data to identify trends, root cause issues, and system/process improvement opportunities;
- Ensure that scheduled reports are being sent or uploaded on-time in accordance to our clients’ specifications;
- Manage and maintain the calendar of reports for our Commercial / Client Relations team;
- Analyze data from multiple sources to develop understanding of the company’s performance and to identify areas of improvement.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Computer Science/IT or equivalent;
- Good communication skills (Both oral and written);
- Self-driven and motivated with desire to work in a results-driven environment with varied responsibilities;
- Practical experience of documenting business processes using specified process methodologies;
- Experience working with Learning and Development/Customer Service industries is a plus;
- Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Actuarial Science/Statistics or equivalent;
- Required skills: Strong data analysis and Data manipulation;
- Leadership and management skills;
- Knowledgeable in using Statistical tools like Microsoft Excel, SAS, SPSS and others;
- Experience of documenting requirements in a structured template;
- Strong computer, critical, and analytical skills. Preferably with experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets;
- Ability to rapidly and thoroughly understand the environment in which you will operate (people, applications, technology, process);
- Ability to collect, assess and analyze data. Works with minimal supervision and has the ability to make decisions and solve complex problems;
- Willing to work with a start-up company with a lot of data projects to do (literally rolling up the sleeves kind of work);
- An interest in, and understanding of, project management techniques and computing systems.
