Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sanctions Screening & Data Analytics Specialist to support compliance, data validation, and sanctions screening initiatives. The role involves data analysis, system validation, sanctions screening optimization, and ensuring data quality across compliance-related systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data analysis, profiling, validation, and quality assessments using SQL, Python, Power BI, and ETL tools.
- Develop, maintain, and validate ETL processes and database solutions.
- Conduct data lineage, completeness, and data quality assessments to support compliance requirements.
- Analyze customer onboarding and payment transaction data, including domestic and cross-border (SWIFT) payments.
- Support sanctions screening system validation, tuning, and optimization.
- Manage sanctions watchlists, screening rules, exclusions, and matching parameters.
- Perform name screening and payment screening analysis to improve screening effectiveness.
- Collaborate with compliance, technology, and business teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Support project activities, testing, documentation, and reporting related to sanctions screening systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in data analytics, database development, and ETL processes.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, SSIS, Python, Power BI, and data validation techniques.
- Experience with data profiling, data quality, data lineage, and data governance concepts.
- Understanding of customer onboarding processes and payment systems, including SWIFT transactions.
- Hands-on experience with sanctions screening platforms such as Fircosoft, SafeWatch, Omni, or Siron.
- Experience in sanctions screening validation, fine-tuning, list management, and screening processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
