Access Control Officer
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Access Control Officer to join our Security Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors enter designated areas while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
The ideal candidate should possess strong observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to enforce security procedures effectively. This role requires monitoring access points, verifying identification and credentials, maintaining visitor records, and responding appropriately to security incidents or emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and control access points to ensure authorized entry and exit.
Verify identification, credentials, and access permissions for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Register visitors and issue access badges in accordance with company policies.
Prevent unauthorized access and report security breaches or suspicious activities.
Operate and monitor access control systems and surveillance equipment when required.
Conduct routine security checks and inspections of entry and exit points.
Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations.
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records of daily security activities.
Coordinate with security personnel and other departments to ensure compliance with security protocols.
Promote a safe, secure, and professional environment at all times.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in security, access control, or a related field is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain alert and professional in high-pressure situations.
Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Basic knowledge of security procedures, access control systems, and safety regulations.
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
