Foreman Carpenter (Bridge Construction)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman - Carpenter to join our bridge construction team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization you will lead and oversee carpentry operations for complex bridge construction projects ensuring high-quality workmanship safety compliance and timely project completion.
- Supervise and coordinate carpentry teams on bridge construction sites
- Interpret blueprints technical drawings and project specifications
- Plan and organize daily work schedules for carpentry crews
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Operate and maintain construction equipment as needed
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and other trade professionals
- Monitor and report on project progress identifying and resolving issues promptly
- Manage inventory and order materials as required
- Train and mentor junior carpenters promoting skill development
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections
- Ensure compliance with local construction regulations and building codes
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in carpentry with at least 3 years specifically in bridge construction
- Proven supervisory experience in leading carpentry teams
- Expert knowledge of carpentry techniques tools and materials
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of bridge construction methods and structural engineering principles
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate construction equipment safely
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry preferred
- OSHA certification required
- Familiarity with construction industry regulations and standards
- Ability to work in challenging outdoor environments and at heights
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when necessary
