Material Engineer

The Material Engineer will play a critical role in our Pumps team, responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing mechanical items such as valves, strainers, and other components across various projects. The ideal candidate will ensure all specifications are met and that each item selected is the best financial option, balancing performance and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Document Review:

• Review and validate technical documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Ensure all designs and documents meet project requirements and specifications.

Code Review:

• Conduct thorough reviews of mechanical design codes to ensure alignment with project needs and compliance with industry standards.

Optimization:

• Evaluate mechanical items for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide recommendations for optimal solutions that meet both technical and financial criteria.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all mechanical designs adhere to quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to implement and maintain rigorous testing and validation processes.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure integrated and seamless project execution.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to the overall project planning and scheduling.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.

• Proven experience with reviewing mechanical components such as valves and strainers.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to mechanical engineering.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI).
