Job Description

Objective:

Responsible for guiding customers through fragrance notes, concentration levels, layering techniques, and brand stories to help them find their perfect scent match. The role enhances store performance by providing exceptional service, strong category knowledge, and premium consultative selling across niche, designer, and artisanal fragrances. Through storytelling, sensory experience, and product expertise, the position plays a key role in driving fragrance category growth and building long-term customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Consultation & Fragrance Expertise
•Deliver bespoke fragrance consultations by understanding client preferences, personality, and occasions.
•Educate customers on fragrance layering, application techniques, and fragrance wardrobe building.
•Conduct fragrance profiling and layering techniques to create unique, personalized scent experiences.
•Represent the brand with premium service etiquette and an elevated consultation experience.

2. Sales Performance & Category Growth
•Achieve individual KPIs including sales targets, conversion, UPT, ATV, and category contribution.
•Promote new launches, niche fragrances, exclusives, and high-value SKUs.
•Support cross-selling opportunities across fragrance, body care, gifting, and complementary products.
•Share fragrance insights with store leadership to improve replenishment, assortment, and category performance.

3. Product Knowledge, Storytelling & Demonstration
•Maintain deep knowledge of fragrance houses, perfumers, note structures, and storytelling elements.
•Demonstrate scents using proper blotter etiquette, step-by-step introduction, and professional sampling techniques.
•Stay updated on global fragrance trends, seasonal notes, and upcoming launches.
•Conduct fragrance demos, mini-sessions, and on-floor education for customers and team members.

4. Store Standards, Tester Hygiene & Inventory Support
•Maintain impeccable tester hygiene, blotter setup, and fragrance bay presentation.
•Ensure testers are replenished, organized, cleaned, and aligned with VM guidelines.
•Support stock checks, expiry control, replenishment, and category-wise stock movements.
•Assist with fragrance storytelling zones, gifting displays, and VM updates.

Desired Expericence:

•2–5 years of experience in beauty retail, fragrance consultancy, or luxury perfume houses.
•Strong fragrance knowledge including notes, accords, perfume concentrations, and scent families.
•Excellent consultation, communication, and customer interaction skills.
•Mandatory prior experience in a multi-brand beauty retail environment.
•Strong willingness to continuously learn about new products, fragrance launches, scent profiles, and selling techniques.
•Demonstrated ability to self-learn, proactively upgrade fragrance expertise, and stay current with industry and brand trends.
•Ability to translate scent stories into engaging and personalized product experiences.
•High grooming standards reflecting a premium beauty and luxury fragrance environment.
•Sales-driven mindset with a proven ability to meet and exceed KPIs.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting with multiple launches and high customer traffic.
