: Utilities & Stakeholders Officer

We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Utilities & Stakeholders Officer to coordinate utility-related activities and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will facilitate utility relocations, obtain necessary approvals and permits, ensure effective stakeholder communication, and support the timely delivery of projects while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with utility providers, government authorities, and regulatory agencies regarding utility connections, diversions, relocations, and service interruptions.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and community stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
• Obtain required permits, approvals, and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from relevant authorities.
• Maintain a stakeholder engagement plan and ensure timely communication of project updates.
• Identify potential utility conflicts and coordinate resolution with engineering and construction teams.
• Monitor utility-related activities to ensure they align with project schedules and milestones.
• Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings, site visits, and coordination workshops.
• Prepare reports, meeting minutes, correspondence, and progress updates related to utilities and stakeholder management.
• Address stakeholder concerns, inquiries, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of utility drawings, approvals, agreements, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support project teams in minimizing risks related to utility services and stakeholder issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Public Administration, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in utility coordination, stakeholder management, infrastructure, or construction projects.
• Knowledge of utility systems, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with government agencies, utility providers, and contractors is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
