Loan Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Loan Analyst to join our financial services team. The Loan Analyst will be responsible for evaluating loan applications assessing creditworthiness and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze loan applications credit reports financial statements and other supporting documents.

• Assess applicants creditworthiness and financial risk using established underwriting guidelines.

• Prepare credit memos and recommendations for loan approvals or denials.

• Monitor existing loan accounts for compliance payment trends and risk factors.

• Communicate with applicants to clarify financial information or request additional documentation.

• Ensure all documentation is accurate complete and in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with loan officers underwriters and credit committees as needed.

• Assist in the development and refinement of risk assessment models and processes.

• Maintain and update loan files and systems with accurate records.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or related field.

• Proven experience in loan processing credit analysis or underwriting (typically 13 years).

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of banking regulations lending practices and credit risk analysis.

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with loan origination systems (e.g. Encompass Finastra etc.).

• Familiarity with consumer commercial or mortgage lending processes.

• Professional certification such as CFA CPA or similar is a plus.
