A Snapshot of Your Day:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Communications and Influencer Manager to join our dynamic team at Samsung Electronics in the MENA region. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans, building strong relationships with tech influencers, managing lifestyle influencers, overseeing social media channels, and leading a team of 3 young professionals, as well as a regional agencies, to manage the strategic communication direction for Samsung Electronics in the region. The role will also involve working closely with local offices to ensure alignment and effectiveness of communication strategies for both Corporate Samsung and its divisions (Mobile, Home Appliances, and TV). Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.

Role and Responsibilities

How You Will Make An Impact:

• Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies and campaigns aligned with Samsung Electronics’ business objectives and brand values, collaborating with local offices to ensure local relevance and effectiveness.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with tech influencers, lifestyle influencers & KOLs both online and offline, across the MENA region, as well as with local offices to align on key messaging.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy. Curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written) across Samsung’s social channels in the region.
• Oversee and manage Samsung Electronics’ social media channels in the MENA region, including content planning, community management, and performance analysis, setting KPIs and working closely with local offices to ensure regional resonance. Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and technologies.
• Develop and expand Social Live commerce strategy for the region. Implement the strategy and work closely with cross function teams and local offices on the execution.
• Manage crisis communications, providing strategic counsel and timely responses to protect and enhance the company’s reputation, collaborating with local offices to manage any regional implications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and sales, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with overall business goals, as well as engaging with local offices to ensure global and local alignment.
• Develop and implement influencer marketing strategies and campaigns that align with the company’s goals and objectives. (Including identifying potential influencer partners, negotiating contracts, and monitoring the success of collaborations and collaborating with local offices to ensure regional relevance and impact.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3 young professionals in communications, influencer management, and social media, fostering collaboration with local offices to share best practices and ensure consistent global and local strategies.
• Oversee the work of a regional PR agency, ensuring their efforts align with Samsung’s strategic goals and messaging, collaborating with local offices to ensure alignment and effective execution at the regional level.

Skills and Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in Communications including social media and Influencer Management, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role, preferably within the consumer electronics or technology industry.
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful communications strategies, demonstrable social media experience, influencer campaigns, and social/ influencer analytics tools knowledge in the MENA region.
• Strong relationships with regional media outlets, influencers, and bloggers, as well as a deep understanding of the media landscape in the MENA region.
• Excellent presentations skill, i possess strong technical skills in PowerPoint presentations, data visualization & storytelling abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic (French is a plus).
• Demonstrated crisis management experience and the ability to think strategically under pressure.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, multinational environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams and local offices.
• Knowledge of social media management, content creation, and performance analysis.
• Passionate about marketing and communications keen to work in a fast paced environment and be part of a huge marketing community.
