About GASDI:
Great Achievers Social Development Initiative (GASDI) is a humanitarian, community development, and volunteer-driven non-profit organization focused on promoting sustainable development, climate action, youth and women empowerment, education, emergency response, livelihood support, and social impact initiatives.GASDI works towards building strong community-based structures and global partnerships that support vulnerable communities and create long-term positive change. Position Summary:
The Country Director serves as the official representative and national coordinator of GASDI within their assigned country. The individual will provide leadership, coordination, representation, volunteer supervision, partnership development, and strategic direction for GASDI activities and operations in the country.
The Country Director is responsible for helping establish and grow GASDI’s presence, visibility, volunteer network, partnerships, programs, membership structure, and community impact initiatives within the country. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Representation
Serve as the official representative of GASDI in the assigned country.
Promote GASDI’s mission, vision, values, and objectives.
Coordinate and supervise national operations and volunteer activities.
Maintain regular communication with GASDI Headquarters. Volunteer Management & Team Coordination:
• Support the recruitment and coordination of volunteers.
• Work with the Volunteer Manager to ensure proper volunteer engagement and supervision.
• Encourage active participation, teamwork, discipline, and accountability among volunteers.
• Ensure all volunteers operate according to GASDI policies and objectives.
Organizational Development
• Help establish and strengthen GASDI’s operational presence in the country.
• Support local registration, compliance, partnerships, or networking opportunities where necessary.
• Assist in developing country-level strategies and operational plans.
• Community Development & Programs
Identify community needs and possible intervention opportunities.
• Coordinate humanitarian, educational, environmental, youth, women empowerment, and community development initiatives.
• Support implementation of projects aligned with GASDI’s mission areas. Partnership & Networking:
• Build relationships with NGOs, institutions, youth groups, universities, companies, government agencies, and community leaders.
• Represent GASDI in meetings, events, conferences, and community engagements.
• Promote collaboration opportunities that can benefit GASDI and communities. Membership & Association Development:
• Promote GASDI membership and community association structures.
• Encourage individuals, students, professionals, and organizations to join the GASDI network.
• Support activities that strengthen member participation and social impact collaboration.
• Fundraising & Resource Mobilization
Support fundraising efforts and resource mobilization initiatives.
• Assist in identifying grants, partnerships, sponsorships, and donation opportunities.
• Work with fundraising teams where available. Reporting & Accountability:
• Submit regular activity and progress reports to Headquarters.
• Maintain transparency, professionalism, and accountability in all operations.
• Ensure proper documentation of activities and achievements. Requirements & Qualifications:
• Passion for humanitarian work and community development.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate teams and manage volunteers.
• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Access to internet and communication tools.
• Experience in NGOs, volunteer work, leadership, community projects, or social impact initiatives is an advantage.
• Educational qualification is an added advantage but not compulsory depending on experience and commitment.
