About the Position(s): AE7 Dubai is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work on international projects. Preferred candidates will have experience / expertise in both commercial and private projects of various sizes and scale.

The firm works on a variety of projects, including: Master Planning, Destination Developments, Healthcare, Hospitality, Higher Education, Residential, Civic, Commercial, and Infrastructure.


Role Definition


Reporting to: MEP Director


Responsibilities:

• As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be expected to have full knowledge and expertise in HVAC and Plumbing systems, LPG systems design, calculations, life cycle cost analysis, drawing production and report writing.
• Candidates shall be full knowledge and practice with ASHRAE, DM, DCD, DEWA, TRAKHES, EHS submission preparations and obtaining approvals.
• The candidate is expected to regularly attend Client meetings and give presentations on their area of expertise.
• The candidate should have experience with the latest versions of AutoCAD and Mechanical Engineering Design Software, including Revit MEP.
• The candidate must be able to work well independently and to manage a team of mechanical engineering technologists and engineers to successfully deliver projects on time and on budget.
• The candidate must be detailed oriented and well organized with effective communication skills both verbally and written.

Qualities & skills required


Essential:

• More than 10 years of experience working within an International Design Firm, with a focus on Building Services Design and Project Management in multi-story high rise, commercial, hospital and residential buildings.
• Mechanical Engineering Degree from a nationally accredited engineering program.
• LEED, or similar green building certification and practical project execution experience will be a plus
• Demonstrated Proficiency with International Building Codes and Standards, including the International Mechanical Code, International Plumbing Code, NFPA, BS8301, and ASHRAE requirements.
• Project management experience is desired, with an ability to manage work in a team-oriented environment and see projects through to completion.
• Review of Technical documents as required during CA phase of the project.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; a high proficiency in English is required.
• Understanding multidisciplinary coordination through design and the construction process.
• Carry out assignments as set out by AE7 Management.
