Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles, strong numerical skills, and proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, journal entries, and vouchers.
• Maintain general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Perform regular bank, customer, and supplier reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up as required.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and accounting reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Verify bills, invoices, expenses, and supporting documents.
• Assist with cash and petty cash management.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports/MIS.
• Assist with tax, statutory, and audit-related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, customers, and auditors when required.
• Ensure accounting entries comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Identify discrepancies and assist in resolving accounting issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field .
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Experience with Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or other accounting software is preferred.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office .
• Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
• Freshers with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
