Trade Merchandising Trainee

Position

Position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role is part of the Regional Architecture & Trade Merchandising Team within Parfums Christian Dior orient (PCDO).

Job responsibilities

• Support the Trade Merchandising Project Manager in driving design of Trade and VM animations.
• Assist in design of popups, animations & events following brand guidelines.
• Adapt international guidelines to local retailer briefs.
• Draft 2D and 3D models and visuals.
• Support in technical packages, review of technical drawings and details.
• Follow up production, material selection and quality control.
• Create bespoke presentations & opening books to guide stakeholders.
• Assist in adapting generic VM to bespoke POS windows, animation walls, and spaces.
• Assist forecasting of elements based on marketing plan.
• Deploy retail animations according to animation/trade marketing plan.
• Adapt international guidelines for local implementation.

Profile

• Graduate in Design.
• Ability to use CAD packages.
• Knowledge of Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator, Office.
• Interest in Retail and Cosmetic Industry.
• Able to communicate in English (written & verbal).
• French or Arabic is a plus.
• Keenness to learn and take initiative.
