Job Description



We're looking for a detail-oriented Civil Inspector for Rails/Tracks to join our freight facilities operations team in Ruwais, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections of railway tracks and rail infrastructure at our freight facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality across all freight facility operations.

  • Conduct regular and systematic inspections of railway tracks, rails, and associated infrastructure at freight facilities
  • Identify, document, and assess defects, wear, and damage to track systems using established inspection protocols
  • Measure and evaluate track alignment, gauge, and structural integrity using precision measurement tools and equipment
  • Analyze inspection findings and prepare detailed technical reports with recommendations for maintenance or repairs
  • Ensure all inspections comply with relevant safety standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all inspection activities, findings, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to communicate inspection results and prioritize repair work
  • Monitor compliance with freight facility operational standards and safety requirements
  • Perform follow-up inspections to verify that corrective actions have been completed effectively
  • Operate and maintain inspection equipment and testing devices in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Communicate inspection status and findings to supervisors and relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Railway Engineering (or closely related discipline).
  • Proven experience in civil infrastructure inspection, specifically with railway tracks and rail systems.
  • Strong knowledge of track and rail specifications, standards, and inspection methodologies.
