Job Description

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by ensuring smooth check-in and check-out procedures, handling guest inquiries, and creating memorable guest experiences that reflect the standards of a luxury hospitality environment. The role requires professionalism, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to anticipate guest needs.

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Perform efficient and accurate check-in and check-out procedures.
• Escort VIP guests through personalized arrival and departure experiences when required.
• Provide information about hotel facilities, services, local attractions, transportation, and dining options.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of hotel products, promotions, and services.
• Verify guest reservations and registration details.
• Process room assignments according to guest preferences and hotel standards.
• Handle room upgrades, special requests, and changes efficiently.
• Maintain accurate guest profiles and records in the Property Management System (PMS).
• Liaise effectively with Housekeeping, Concierge, Engineering, Security, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints.
• Communicate VIP arrivals, special occasions, and guest preferences to relevant departments.
• Process payments, deposits, billing adjustments, and foreign currency transactions in accordance with hotel policies.
• Balance cash floats and complete daily financial reports accurately.
• Ensure all guest accounts are correctly posted and settled.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and financial transactions.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Follow up on guest requests and feedback to ensure successful resolution.
• Build positive guest relationships and encourage repeat business.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in Front Office, Guest Services, or Reception within a luxury hotel is preferred.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS or similar hotel management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent spoken and written English & Arabic; additional languages are an advantage.
