Job Summary

The Courier Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional collection and delivery of customer shipments across the UAE. The role ensures that all deliveries and pickups are completed according to scheduled routes and service level agreements (SLAs) and providing excellent customer service. The Courier Driver also ensures vehicle safety, compliance with UAE traffic regulations, and proper handling of all shipments, including temperature-controlled goods when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver shipments safely and on time while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Ensure deliveries and collections are completed in accordance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
• Handover shipments to consignees/recipients and obtain proof of delivery (POD) and collect cash-on-delivery (COD) payments, where applicable.
• Collect shipments and the required documentation from supplier and vendor locations.
• Coordinate with the Operations and Dispatch team regarding delivery schedules, shipment status, route updates, and any delivery exceptions.
• Comply with all applicable UAE traffic laws, road safety regulations, and transport authority requirements while performing delivery operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Courier Driver in the UAE courier/logistics industry.
• Experience in last-mile delivery, pickups, and customer-facing operations.
• Experience in handling Proof of Delivery (POD) processes.
• Familiarity with delivery operations across all Emirates is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in delivery management applications (e.g., Detrack or similar courier applications).
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for shipment verification is preferred.
• Proficiency in using mobile devices for Proof of Delivery (POD), barcode scanning, and delivery status updates.
• Ability to use GPS navigation applications such as Google Maps, Waze, or similar tools for efficient route planning.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in shipment handling.
• Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious with a commitment to safe driving practices.
• Ability to effectively use mobile delivery applications and GPS navigation tools.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel for communication and simple reporting is preferred.
• Basic spoken and written English is mandatory. Proficiency in Hindi, Malayalam, Arabic, or other regional languages will be an added advantage for customer interactions.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License (Manual/Automatic, as applicable).
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
• Defensive Driving or First Aid certification will be an added advantage.
