Senior Customer Support Engineer – Linux / DevOps / Cloud
We are supporting an international technology business seeking an experienced Senior Customer Support Engineer to join its global technical team, with a particular focus on customers across the Middle East.
This is not a traditional customer service position . It is a highly technical role combining hands-on engineering and development with direct interaction with enterprise customers.
The position is fully remote , although candidates based in or close to the UAE time zone are preferred. Occasional travel to locations including Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be required.
Key responsibilities:
Provide senior-level technical support to enterprise customers
Troubleshoot complex Linux, cloud and infrastructure issues
Work across Linux, DevOps and cloud environments
Contribute to technical development projects, including AI-related work
Work directly with customers to understand requirements and resolve technical issues
Collaborate with engineering, development and commercial teams globally
Undertake occasional travel across the Middle East
Requirements:
Fluent Arabic – essential
Strong Linux expertise – essential
Approximately 10 years' relevant technical/support experience
Experience with DevOps and cloud technologies
Kubernetes knowledge, with relevant certification highly desirable
Background in Linux/System Administration, infrastructure, DevOps or similar
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong customer-facing communication skills
Comfortable working across multiple technologies and technical disciplines
The role combines substantial customer interaction with hands-on technical and development work.
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Location: Remote – UAE/Middle East time zone preferred
Travel: Less than 20%
