Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Specialist

Job Summary
A leading hospitality organization is seeking an experienced Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Specialist to support the implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of its Food Safety Management System (FSMS) across multiple hospitality properties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HACCP principles, Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) regulations, and the organization's food safety standards through inspections, audits, training, monitoring, and incident investigations. This is a hands-on operational role requiring strong technical knowledge of food safety systems, excellent auditing and coaching skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with operational teams to drive food safety excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) across assigned properties.
Conduct food safety inspections, HACCP internal audits, supplier audits, and surveillance audits in accordance with approved audit plans.
Identify food safety risks, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement, and prepare clear audit and inspection reports.
Deliver food safety and HACCP training, coaching, and awareness programs to strengthen food safety culture.
Monitor and verify food safety monitoring systems, including wireless temperature monitoring and ATP hygiene verification.
Investigate food safety incidents, customer complaints, and product recalls by performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain and verify HACCP documentation, food safety records, monitoring logs, and verification activities.
Monitor property food safety performance, analyze quality trends, and support properties in implementing effective corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with company food safety policies, HACCP requirements, and applicable food safety regulations while promoting continuous improvement across all assigned properties.oo
Requirements
Mandatory: Minimum 5–8 years of FSQA experience within five-star or luxury hospitality operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
Professional certifications in HACCP Implementation, HACCP Auditing and Food Hygiene .
Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, food-safety regulations and food-safety management systems.
Experience conducting food-safety inspections, internal and supplier audits, incident investigations and food-safety training.
Strong analytical, communication, coaching, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Valid UAE driving licence.
