As a Content Writer for Blitz Information Technology, you will play a vital role in creating high-quality Sports news content that informs, engages, and resonates with our audience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating compelling content across various domains, coupled with a deep understanding of the news landscape in both English and Hindi languages.
Responsibilities:
- Write well-researched, accurate, and captivating news articles in both English and Hindi languages.
- Stay updated with the latest news and trends across diverse domains, including but not limited to politics, technology, entertainment, sports, and more.
- Craft headlines and subheadings that grab readers' attention while accurately summarizing the content.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm ideas for new content, features, and innovative storytelling formats.
- Edit and proofread articles for grammar, spelling, clarity, and consistency.
- Ensure that all content adheres to the company's editorial guidelines, style, and tone.
- Optimize content for SEO to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Maintain an awareness of competitive news apps and platforms to identify areas for improvement and differentiation.
- Engage with readers by responding to comments and feedback when required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Content Writer with a focus on news content, preferably with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi languages.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create compelling and well-structured news articles.
- Familiarity with current events, news trends, and issues in India and globally.
- Knowledge of AP Style or similar editorial guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
- Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for storytelling.
- Proficiency in content management systems and basic understanding of SEO best practices.
Preferred:
- Candidates from North India with an understanding of regional nuances and preferences.
- Experience writing for digital platforms or sports news applications.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in news distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to cover news stories across different domains.
