Note: Designer for Offshore Welding Activities - Hook up

Designer Job Description for Offshore Welding Activities :

1. Preparation of Offshore Welds Joint Markups on the Engineering Design Drawings.

2. Preparation of Non-Destructive Testing ( NDT ) / Weld Map Drawings and Weld Summary List ( WSL ) for Offshore Welds.

3. Calculating the Weld Lengths for Estimating the Welding consumables.

4. Understanding Client standards related component category and NDT requirements.

5. Familiar with Brownfield Hookup / Transportation & Installation related Welds.

6. Co-ordination with Yard and related engineering e.g. Structural. E & I Piping etc.

7. Understanding Piping Isometric Drawings for Offshore Weld Markups and WSL for the same.

8. Familiar with Offshore Installation Methods including Installation Aids Additional Supporting Structures.

Additional Requirements related to Yard Activities other than Offshore welds.

Candidate must have knowledge of welding forming metal fabrication and basic machining processes.

Must be able to interpret drawings.

Knowledge of steel aluminum and stainless.

Strong Math skills

Strong verbal communication and written communication skills

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

Must be detailed orientated consistent follow up is a must

Ability to understand and solve complex problems.
