Lead Civil Engineer – Oil & Gas | Abu Dhabi (Site-Based)

An established and highly respected EPC contractor specializing in Oil & Gas infrastructure is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer (In charge Level) to join a long-term project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE . This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned site professional to contribute to one of the region's high-profile onshore construction projects , part of a major carbon capture and storage initiative .

About the Role:

As Lead Civil Engineer, you will take full responsibility for the civil works package, overseeing day-to-day construction activities on-site. You will manage subcontractors, large labour forces, and coordinate closely with engineering and planning teams to ensure the safe, timely, and quality execution of all civil elements.

This role is site-based and demands strong leadership, problem-solving capabilities, and deep knowledge of Oil & Gas civil engineering practices, particularly within the UAE market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise all aspects of civil construction on-site.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team including supervisors, foremen, and skilled labour.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, QHSE standards, and construction timelines.
• Coordinate closely with planning, procurement, and engineering teams.
• Monitor progress, handle technical issues, and implement corrective actions where needed.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. or B.Tech).
• Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas construction (EPC/onshore).
• Strong background in large-scale civil works execution, ideally including brownfield or greenfield projects.
• UAE or GCC experience required , with preference for those familiar with ADNOC project standards .
• Proven leadership of large teams in demanding site environments.
