Tyre Technician

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Tyre Fitter to join our company. The candidate will be responsible for fitting and replacing tyres for cars, trucks, and trailers, as well as performing tyre alignment and wheel balancing. The role requires good technical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Fit, remove, and replace tyres for cars, trucks, and trailers .
• Perform wheel alignment and balancing accurately.
• Inspect tyres for wear, damage, punctures, and other defects.
• Check tyre pressure and adjust it according to specifications.
• Repair punctures and carry out basic tyre-related repairs.
• Use tyre fitting, balancing, and alignment equipment safely and correctly.
• Ensure wheels and tyres are properly fitted and securely tightened.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the tyre service area.
• Follow all workshop safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Advise customers or supervisors on tyre condition and replacement requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter or similar role.
• Practical experience with car, truck, and trailer tyres.
• Good knowledge of tyre fitting, alignment, and wheel balancing .
• Ability to operate tyre-changing and wheel-balancing machines.
• Basic knowledge of tyre sizes, pressure, tread, and wear patterns.
• Ability to identify tyre and wheel-related problems.
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy tyres and wheels.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driving licence would be an advantage.
