The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to guests by taking orders, serving meals and drinks, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide professional, friendly service.
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus when required.
• Explain menu items, daily specials, and beverage options to customers.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Serve food and drinks according to restaurant standards and service procedures.
• Ensure correct presentation, portioning, and quality of served items.
• Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and respond to requests.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and report issues to supervisors.
• Process bills, collect payments, and follow proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, and service stations.
• Set up and clear tables before, during, and after service.
• Assist with table preparation, including cutlery, glassware, napkins, and condiments.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Support restaurant promotions, special events, and guest requests.
• Follow company service standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress, server, or in hospitality is preferred.
• Fresh candidates with good communication skills and willingness to learn may be considered.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of restaurant service techniques and guest handling.
• Ability to take orders accurately and operate POS systems.
• Understanding of menu items, ingredients, and basic food preparation methods.
• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.
• Ability to handle cash payments and billing procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tables and tasks efficiently.
