About the job HSE Engineer


We are looking for a HSE Engineer to Continuously develop and implement procedures and systems that protect employees from illness, injury, and property damage. Apply combined engineering and health & safety expertise to ensure chemicals, machinery, equipment, software, furniture, and workplace processes do not pose risks. Maintain and ensure workplace safety compliance, conduct site risk assessments, manage hazard controls, and oversee H&S documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Review machinery and equipment plans to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct hazards.
• Assess effectiveness of industrial control measures at project sites.
• Ensure buildings, equipment, and processes meet health and safety regulations.
• Install or supervise installation of safety devices on machinery.
• Review and improve employee safety programs.
• Conduct or coordinate training on safety laws, hazard monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
• Compile and analyze data on occupational illnesses, incidents, and accidents.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support HSE inspections, audits, and self-assessments.

Years of Experience :

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Safety Engineer in MEP or building services projects.

Qualifications :

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical/industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in health and safety with suitable level (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
• In-depth understanding of MEP construction methods, equipment, and hazards.
• Familiarity with applicable safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA, local codes).
• Experience with hot works, electrical safety, working at heights, HVAC & R systems, and confined spaces is essential
• ISO Audit experience
