MEP Draftsman / Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced MEP Draftsman / Coordinator to prepare, develop, and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings for construction projects. The role involves producing accurate technical drawings, coordinating MEP services with architectural and structural elements, and supporting project teams during execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP drawings, layouts, shop drawings, and as-built drawings based on project requirements.
• Develop drawings for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting, and related MEP systems.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify clashes and coordination issues.
• Coordinate MEP services with civil, architectural, and structural teams.
• Incorporate design changes, site modifications, and consultant comments into drawings.
• Prepare plans, sections, elevations, schematics, and detailed layouts as required.
• Assist engineers in preparing technical drawings and documentation.
• Conduct drawing revisions and maintain proper revision control.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions.
• Support preparation of shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings .
• Participate in MEP coordination meetings and follow up on drawing-related issues.
• Identify potential clashes between MEP systems and other building services and propose solutions.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and approved designs.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, approvals, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project engineers when required.
• Assist in quantity take-offs and material coordination based on drawings.
• Provide technical drawing support during construction and resolve site queries related to drawings.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field .
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in MEP drafting and coordination.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks, BIM, or other MEP coordination software is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and building services.
• Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work with multiple disciplines and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Experience
