Brainblast is a new product by Smart Nonsense a media company making learning fun with over 3 billion views generated worldwide. Our mission is to make learning as addictive as social media by building a gamified educational experience.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of developing, launching, and maintaining the iOS app
- Build rapid prototypes for internal testing 2-3x/week
- Develop an asynchronous game experience for math problem solving
- Implement analytics to track student progress
- Format and integrate question banks into the app
- Build a seamless content delivery system for a TikTok-style mobile video course
- Optimize the app for a highly engaging, fast, and smooth learning experience
- Ensure scalability and maintainability through rigorous testing
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software experience in iOS app development
- Proven track record of shipping at least one iOS app professionally
- Proficiency with Swift and iOS frameworks (UIKit, CoreData, Core Animation, etc.)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and other API integrations
- Knowledge of video streaming and optimization
- Familiarity with Firebase or other backend solutions
- Experience integrating advanced analytics, animations, and gamified features
